  115.                     time, the subsystems marked ``default'' are the
  116.                     ones that are installed if you use the ``go''
  117.                     menu item.  To install a different set of
  118.                     subsystems, use the ``install,'' ``remove,''
  119.                     ``keep,'' and ``step'' commands in _i_n_s_t to
  120.                     customize the list of subsystems to be
  121.                     installed, then select the ``go'' menu item.

  139.                     2.2  _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n__M_e_t_h_o_d

  141.                     All of the subsystems for Fortran 90 can be
  142.                     installed using _i_n_s_t from IRIX.  You do not need
  143.                     to use the miniroot.  Refer to the _I_R_I_S _S_o_f_t_w_a_r_e
  144.                     _I_n_s_t_a_l_l_a_t_i_o_n _G_u_i_d_e for complete installation
  145.                     instructions.

  149.                     2.3  _P_r_e_r_e_q_u_i_s_i_t_e_s
  150.

  152.                     Fortran 90 requires the installation of the
  153.                     following subsystems IRIX Development Foundation
  154.                     (compiler_eoe, compiler_dev, ftn_dev and
  155.                     ftn_eoe) release 1.1 on IRIX 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4.
  156.                     On IRIX 6.5 the *_eoe subsystems are contained
  157.                     on the IRIX Foundation CD. Please refer to the
  158.                     _1._1 _I_R_I_X _D_e_v_e_l_o_p_m_e_n_t _F_o_u_n_d_a_t_i_o_n _R_e_l_e_a_s_e _N_o_t_e_s.

  161.                     _N_O_T_E:  To complete your installation you, must
  162.                     also install the Fortran 90 front-end components
  163.                     from the MIPSpro Fortran 90 7.2.1 CD. These
  164.                     subsystems are named _f_t_n_9_0__f_e.

  166.                     _I_M_P_O_R_T_A_N_T: Patch 2759 is required for MIPSpro
  167.                     Fortran 90 7.2.1. The relevant subsystems from
  168.                     this patch for Fortran 90 operation are:
  169.                     patchSG0002759.compiler_eoe_sw,
  170.                     patchSG0002759.compiler_eoe_sw64,
  171.                     patchSG0002759.ftn_eoe_sw,
  172.                     patchSG0002759.ftn_eoe_sw64.

  174.                     Patch 2773 libmp rollup (Required for OpenMP)
  175.  
  176.                     Whereas the compiler_eoe subsystems on the IRIX
  177.                     Development Foundation CD contain the original
  178.                     versions of libmp for IRIX 6.2, 6.3 and 6.4,
  179.                     patch 2773 contains the new revision of these
  180.                     libraries. It includes bug fixes as well as new
  181.                     interfaces for multiprocessing. Patch 2773 is
  182.                     required for use with OpenMP on these systems.
